Parents, ask your children about their Explorer Passports
Explorer Passports will be delivered to schools on Friday, May 18. The Passports give children free admission to parks and attractions in Prince William County. Start off this Saturday at the HCHY EXPO at Pfitzner Stadium, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. View map of activities and schedule of events.

* All families are invited to bring in food that exemplifies their culture to share on Friday night.
* Don’t forget to wear your cultural attire!

Math SOL Info from VDOE
The PWCS Math Department has asked us to pass on this information from the VDOE about the upcoming math SOL test, whch is slightly different from previous years. There will be more multi-step problems, open-ended answers and technology-enhanced items.
Third Grade Field Trip
Mr. Rosatelli and the 3rd grade visited Monticello to learn about our 3rd president, Thomas Jefferson. Go to Mr. McManus' class page to see more pictures from the field trip.
Tdap for Rising 6th Graders
Attention All Rising 6th graders:All students are required to have a Tdap vaccine done before entering 6th grade.
If your child is 11 years of age and have not had a tetanus vaccine in the past 5 years, a Tdap is needed.
Please bring proof of vaccination to the school nurse.
If your child receives the vaccine after school is out for the summer, please bring proof of immunization to the appropriate middle school before first day of school.

Box Tops for Education
The SCA is sponsoring Box Tops for Education! Each Box Top earns ten cents for our school.
We received a check for $940.60 on April 26 for the Box Tops we submitted in December. We have collected 1,000 Box Tops since January 1st.
