Office Hours
Fridays 1:00 – 2:00 pm via Zoom 

**Lessons have been developed collaboratively with ESOL, Gifted, and Special Education staff.
**At the elementary level, students will have a weekly schedule that assigns each subject 60 minutes of combined review lessons and student learning time per week (all lessons are optional and parents may choose to divide the 60 minutes of learning time in each subject across multiple days) , with one 60-minute block available for designated virtual “office” hours, and one 60-minute block for school counseling or other selected class or activity.

Week of June 8th

This is the last week of school. I am sure you are all ready for a break from online learning! This week is to be fun. There is a Fun Choice Board and we will have 3 Zoom Meetings this week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I hope you will take some time to remember all the fun things we did this year.

Week of May 25th

Happy Memorial Day! I hope you and your family were able to enjoy the holiday and nice weather. I definitely enjoyed the day with my family celebrating my birthday and my nephew's birthday!

This week we will have our class meetings on Wednesday and Friday. Both meetings will be at 1:00 pm. Look for more information later in the week about what we will be doing during those meetings.

Week of May 18th
I hope you had a great week. I have enjoyed seeing you and finding out what you have been up to during our class Zoom meetings. 

We will continue this week having two class Zoom meetings. They will be on Monday and Friday.

Week of May 11th
First I want to wish all the mom a very Happy Mother's Day. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day.

This week we will have our regular Monday class Zoom meeting. I am going to add an additional class Zoom meeting to Friday at 1:00 - 1:30 pm. I will continue to have office hours after our class Zoom meeting on Friday. I hope to see everyone on Monday and Friday!

Thank you to all the students and families that have been using Canvas. If there is anyone that has questions or problems with it, please let me know.

I continue to be amazed at each of you. You are all doing a great job with your assignments and sharing/submitting your work to me. Keep up the good work. Please make sure you are accessing Canvas. In Canvas, you can see the choice board as well as all the assignments for the week. If you have trouble logging into Canvas, please let me know and I will try to help you. Week of April 27

This week brings April to an end. It is hard to believe it has been 6 weeks since we have been in the classroom. I really miss you all. This week we continue reviewing in all areas. In language. arts, the focus is nonfiction including text features and main idea/details. As well as a focus on verbs. In math, the focus is measurement including length, weight, and temperature. In social studies, the focus is resources including natural, human, and capital resources. Finally in science, the focus is animal life cycles. Thank you for the work that you have sent; I love seeing your work and I hope you are receiving my feedback. Please look for an email with information about Canvas a learning platform that will be used for the rest of the school year.  If you need anything from me, please let me know. Have a great week!

Week of April 20th

This week we will celebrate Earth Day! What can you and your family do to help the Earth? If you and your family do a something special, I would love to hear about it. You can send me a picture or even send a quick text describing what you did.
I would love to see your work and give you feedback. How can you do that? Send me a picture via email and then I will make sure I provide feedback. I miss seeing all of your work!
I want to say thank you to all of you for your support, patience, and kind words. Thank you for all of the support you are providing your child. If you need anything, please contact me. I miss you all very much!

Week of April 13th
It is hard to believe it has been a month since we have been in class together. This week the 2nd grade team has decided to provide a choice board with activities for reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. The Choice Board can be found in the Files and Documents tab. Activities are optional, but I do encourage your child to complete as many as they can. Feedback will be provided on any work submitted to me.
